The task canvas

Comigo turns ongoing activity into a few task cards. Each card holds a goal, progress, the apps involved and short suggestions. Related work moves with the task even when you switch between a browser, an editor, a document and a call.

  • Keep it small. The canvas shows up to six tasks. Choose how many stay in front in setup or with the controls on the canvas.
  • Create a task yourself with New task: give it a name and a goal (you can dictate both with the microphone button).
  • Edit a task's name or goal at any time. Goals you write by hand are never overwritten by the AI.
  • Merge two cards that are really the same work (you can undo a merge), move an observation to another task, dismiss a task, or mark it done.
  • Focus mode and a resizable details panel show one task's evidence, timeline and chat.
  • Task chat lets you ask about that task. Comigo answers with the task's context.

Suggestions

For a task, Comigo usually writes two short items: an insight (what matters in what you are looking at) and a next step, grounded in something visible on screen. On each suggestion you can:

  • Copy it, discuss it in the task chat, pin it, dismiss it, or mark it done.
  • Rate it 👍 or 👎 and pick a reason. Ratings teach Comigo what is useful to you.

Suggestions can disappear after a set time (Settings → Suggestions & learning) or stay until you dismiss them.

Hover explanations

Names and concepts in text Comigo writes are underlined. Hover one, pick a question ("What is it?", "How does it work?", "What are the alternatives?"), and a short explanation opens in place. Explanations inside explanations load only when you ask.

Pace: how often Comigo looks

Use the + / − controls on the canvas or Settings → System:

Preset Checks every Sensitivity
Focus 3 minutes only bigger changes
Balanced (default) 1 minute normal
Active 30 seconds small changes

Comigo also checks when you switch app or window. If the screen has not really changed, nothing is sent to the AI. A faster pace sees more and can cost more.

Assistant style

Settings → Assistant style changes the voice and focus of the advice, not your tasks: Developer, Executive, Marketing, Sales, Project Manager, Teacher, Operations, Secretary, Minimalist, or Custom with your own instructions and focus keywords. You can also set how proactive Comigo is (low, medium, high).

Overview and Workflow

Workflow draws how time moves between your apps today, in the last 3 days or the last 7 days: time per app, transitions between apps, and meeting audio. Drag nodes to rearrange the graph. Overview summarizes current context, tasks, apps and model usage/cost.

Export a report

Use Export report in Workflow or in a task's details. A Markdown preview opens first. Window titles and captured text are excluded unless you tick the option to include them. Then copy it or download a .md file. Comigo never sends a report anywhere by itself.

Memories

Comigo keeps short memories about your work to give better context later. In Memories you can search them, rate them, dismiss them, or delete them.

Meeting mode

Turn it on from the menu bar icon or with ⌘⇧M. Comigo also recognizes common meeting apps. During a meeting it follows the conversation from system audio (transcribed on your Mac), shows live insights, and when you end the meeting it can write a recap. Screen suggestions keep working during and after the meeting.

Mini avatar and menu bar

  • Mini Avatar Mode (menu bar → Mini Avatar Mode) shows a small floating Comigo that stays on top, shows its status and follows your cursor with its eyes. Drag it anywhere; resize it with −/+.
  • The menu bar icon gives quick access to: Show/Hide, Quick Chat, Capture Screen Now, Pause/Resume, Meeting Mode, Settings, Processing Queue, LLM Logs, Memory Timeline, Excluded Apps, Clean Storage Cache, About and Quit.

Quick chat

Press ⌘⇧C to ask Comigo about what is on your screen right now, from any app.
